As yet, there is no known way to distinguish the appearance of these cars from their 1908 counterparts.

The Freed Flyabout

This fabulous Flyabout was purchased in February of 1909, by Ellis Freed of Salt Lake City.
Note the remarkable windshield, with glass all the way down to the curve of the cowl.
Not also the hood louvers - only one other period photo is known of a Model F with a louvered hood.

The Taussig Flyabout

In April of 1909, Hugo A. Taussig of San Francisco decided on a transcontinental drive.
He hired a driver, Robert R. Sherman, and told him to fiind the best car for the trip.
Sherman was familiar with Thomas, so he selected this Flyabout, had a high-clearance front axle installed,
and increased the fuel capacity to 32 gallons.
Taussig, Sherman, and two of Taussig's associates, left San Francisco on June 1.
They arrived in NY on July 13, having put 4,159 miles on the car.
It was then shipped to Europe, where the excursion continued.
In October, with 8,086 miles on the odometer, the car was shipped back to the US,
where the party began the drive back to California.

The Livezey touring

J. B. Livezey and party pulled out of Denver on Aug. 5, 1910.
12 days and 1,657 miles later, they arrived in Los Angeles, reducing the record time for that trip by 3 days.
This is not a 1910 Model F, as the touring car front fenders were changed for the 1910 season.
Ransom Mathews, early curator of the transportation collection at the L.A. County Museum,
identified the car as a 1909, so it is included on this page.
